LLM Research & Writing - Library Research Session In-Person

In these sessions we will discuss the sources of law in the United States as well as their heirarchy.  We will look at how the federal and state systems differ. You will use secondary sources to begin research. You will practice looking up cases and statutes, and using the tools on Westlaw and Lexis to update those cases and statutes.  Finally, you will work with the librarian in class to begin research on your open memo topic.
